When you’re an employee, you usually have regular reviews with your employer where you assess your performance and discuss how you could develop your skills and add more value to your organisation.
When you’re self-employed, you have to act as both employer and employee. It’s up to you to develop your skills and assess how you can bring more value to what you do.
Which is why I’m off to two copywriting conferences over the next few weeks.
The first is Copy Cabana in Bournemouth, which promises insights from some of the most creative, dynamic, left field, experienced, provocative minds in copywriting, marketing, advertising and more.
The second is the Copywriting Conference in London, which is offering an unmissable chance to fire-up your imagination, learn new techniques and network with your peers.
I’m really looking forward to both events and I’m certain I’ll be sharing some of my experiences and revelations after each of them.
