I’m raising money for Epilepsy Research UK

in News

As you may know, I enjoy running in my spare time. I’m a regular parkrunner, I’m a member of my local running club, Ledbury & District Harriers, and I’ve also run several half marathons.

But next month, I’m going to be taking my running to the next level as a member of a team of five friends doing the Cotswold 24 Hour Race.

Between 12pm on Saturday 4 August and 12pm on Sunday 5 August the objective is to run as many 9 km laps of Cirencester Park as possible. We are aiming for 27 laps which is 152 miles (243 km). That’s 28 to 34 miles each.

We’re doing it to raise funds for Epilepsy Research UK because two of our team have daughters who have or have had epileptic seizures.

If you would like to support our team in our exciting challenge / foolish activity (delete as applicable) and raise funds for Epilepsy Research UK at the same time, we’ve set up a fundraising page at mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/newentsolemates.

PS: I won’t be in the office on Monday 6 August because I’ll be on the sofa recovering…
